What is the difference between a babysitter and a nanny?

The main difference is the type of work and level of responsibility.

Babysitters
• Usually provide short-term or occasional care
• Often work for a few hours at a time
• Typically paid hourly
Nannies
• Provide regular, ongoing care
• May work part-time or full-time
• Often take on broader responsibilities (e.g. meals, routines, light household tasks)
